netsuke

bought some netsuke at japanese anique market.
maybe they aren't antique though they are lovely enough for me.

my husband bought a bat folding his arms.
curling ears and hands. cute :)

(netsuke is a small wooden/ivoried sculpture that japanese people in edo era used to
use like a key ring. for pill and cigarette case, for wallet, for small bag, etc...)

i bought 2 dragon babies.

couldn't choose one. see?

my husband bought me a sheep,
we couldn't help bringing back this smiling sheep...

i forgot to tell that i bought some small glass bottles.
big glass bottle was 600 yen,
small glass bottle was 300 yen and
smailing little sheep was... 1,000 yen!

side. totally rough carving. cute and kind of... grotesque for me.

back. what is this asymmetry, is she walking??
(maybe yes.)

monsters

made monsers by feling needles.

the red one is always grimacing and
the gray one is always carefree,
they are (really good) friends.

the gray one has
three eyes, three legs and three fingers.

and long tongue...

Toyota Municipal Museum of Art

went Toyota Municipal Museum of Art to see "The Doors of Perception"
with our friend, mutonsan.
the museum itself was bright and nice and i love it
(reminds me of Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo),
also its gaden was comfortable.
